Funding delays & mistakes
Why is my deposit delayed?
Your deposit can be delayed for several reasons:
-
Your bank could have placed a 24-hour hold on your first deposit to your Stake AUS or Wall St account.
-
Your bank may not support instant payments.
-
You might have entered the unique BSB and/or account number incorrectly.
-
There may be external compliance checks in line with Anti-Money Laundering legislation.
Please note that Stake does not support BPAY, international wires, in-person branch transfers (i.e. cash Deposits), cheque payments, or third-party deposits.
What happens if I accidentally enter the wrong details?
If you have used the wrong bank details for a deposit, we advise you to inform your bank and request a reversal.
To make sure your money goes to the right place and stays secure: Always double-check your Stake's bank details in your account before you send money. It is also a good idea to save the details in your online banking app or platform. This helps prevent mistakes and makes future transfers easier.
If you have further questions regarding the deposit, you can get in touch with our support team here.
Considerations
Stake accepts no liability for any financial loss or damage arising from the entry of incorrect information during the funding process, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. Where funds are transferred to an incorrect account, Stake will make all reasonable efforts to assist in the recovery of those funds; however, no guarantee of recovery can be provided
