Stake Super Disclaimers
Stake SMSF Pty Ltd (Stake Super) will assist in the establishment of a self-managed super fund (SMSF) under a ‘no advice model’. Stake Super is not licensed to provide financial product advice or arrange dealings in financial products under the Corporations Act. This specifically applies to any financial products which are established if you instruct Stake Super to set up and administe an SMSF, or when you transfer an existing SMSF to Stake Super. When you sign up to Stake Super you are contracting with Stake SMSF Pty Ltd.
Before deciding to establish an SMSF or making any financial decision, you should seek advice from a licensed financial adviser, tax adviser or lawyer as appropriate. This is not mandatory, but it is your decision whether or not to seek personalised advice for your SMSF. Stake Super cannot provide you with financial or taxation advice related to whether setting up a SMSF suits your personal objectives, circumstances or financial needs. Taxation is only one of the matters that must be considered before making any investment decision.
By completing an SMSF establishment application with Stake Super, you acknowledge and agree that you are not being provided with advice with regards to whether: (1) a SMSF is suitable for you; (2) it is appropriate or not for you to transfer your existing super to a SMSF; and (3) you should or shouldn’t take out a life and disability insurance policy owned by your SMSF.
SMSFs come with certain risks and when you set up a SMSF you take on certain obligations as a trustee. There are also unavoidable costs relating to a SMSF. For more information about these risks, obligations and costs see here.
As part of the Stake Super establishment application, you appoint Stake SMSF Pty Ltd as Tax Agent and independent SMSF auditor (ASF Audits Pty Ltd) to your fund and its trustee company. You also appoint Stake SMSF Pty Ltd as your ASIC Registered Agent (no. 48458).
Also as part of the Stake Super application you provide Stake Super with authority to give Stakeshop Pty Ltd instructions to establish in the name of your SMSF an Airwallex Stake Super AUD Wallet to store funds and Stake DriveWealth account for trading. You can use your Stake DriveWealth account for trading with respect to your SMSF. Additional fees may apply as per the Stake Super Fee Structure if you elect to establish or acquire different financial products.
