How can we help?

Payment card errors

The most common reason is using a card we don’t accept. Stake doesn’t support:

  • AMEX

  • Stored value cards (e.g. VISA debit gift cards, other brokerage platform cards)

  • Multi-currency cards

  • Some cards linked to rewards programs

If you're seeing an error, try using a different card.

Updating your payment card

Stake only allows one payment card on file. To use a new card, you’ll need to remove the one currently stored.

You can check which card is linked to your account by following these steps:

On the Stake app:

  1. Tap Manage

  2. Select Accounts

  3. Tap Manage payment methods

  4. Go to Saved cards

On the web:

  1. Click the dropdown in the top right corner

  2. Select Settings

  3. Choose Manage payment methods

  4. Hover over the card to remove it

Once removed, you’ll be able to add a new card.

Still need help?

If you're unable to update your card online, tap ‘Still need help’ below and include:

  • The reason for the change

Important: Don’t include any card details in your message.

Our team will review your request within 24–48 hours and confirm once you can add a new card.
